Three years ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and had to leave my dream job as a counsellor due to my symptoms. In the beginning, I thought my life was over. I missed my career a great deal and saw myself as a sick person. I knew I had to find something I could do from home that would help me feel more fulfilled.
I have always been interested in making things by hand, enjoying both the creative process and the finished product. I get a great deal of satisfaction in my creative endeavors. I watched my Mom pursue various crafts when I was a child and as a result I was involved in the creative process from an early age. My mother knitted using pure wool and I took this one step further by felting my knitted purses into unique pieces of wearable art.
I have found a passion with my creativity and GingerGirl is the result. I have extended my work and also delight in making colorful hair fascinators and tutus. I love working with beautiful materials to create fun accessories that I hope will bring joy to others which is essential in life! I now have a new outlook on life and derive great pleasure in this new creative endeavor! My advice to others is to find joy in the simple things in life and run with it, the results are worth it! Why not look great while you are doing this by wearing a GingerGirl original accessory!
