Cranberry/orange bread pudding. Ginger snap cookie (gluten-free). Flourless chocolate cookie with almonds. Do I have your attention yet?

It’s a bit of a secret, but the Dickens Fair includes a great cafe.

Join us for afternoon tea (coffee, spiced cider, hot chocolate, too!) and a treat. Grab a bowl of vegetarian chili or your choice of hearty made-from-scratch lentil or curried squash soup to keep you going through a busy Saturday.

Reasonable prices (soup or chili, with bun, for a mere $3.75), high-quality food made by local professional cooks and bakers, lots of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian choices – what’s not to like?

If you’re going to watch the lighted truck parade, the Dickens Fair cafe is the perfect place to fuel up beforehand or get warm after. We’re at 140 Oswego Street, just a couple of blocks from the parade’s assembly area, and we’re open from 2-8 pm.

See you there! (I’ll be the one with crumbs on my chin.)
