Our Seedy Saturday, that is. It was the biggest attendance ever, so a giant thank you to everyone who made their way to the Conference Centre, including the very cute guide dog in training.
It was a great day – lots of exhibitors, with some interesting new ones joining our old friends, stellar speakers, a very jolly kids’ activity area, lots of seeds and books keeping the exchanges well stocked, and the always delicious Seedy Cafe put on by the Empress.
Thanks also to the Victoria Conference Centre for looking after us so well, and to our sponsors whose generosity helps keep the admission cost low. And a big shout out to Pat McGuire and her team of volunteers who make it all happen.
Seedy Saturday will be hanging out on twitter and facebook all year, so be sure to keep us posted on how those seeds and baby plants are doing. Because Seedy Saturday is just the beginning: it’s what you know and grow afterwards that really makes it all worthwhile.
See you next year!
