Harvest Day at the James Bay Community Market!
September 7th from 9 am to 3 pm
At the Corner of Menzies and Superior
You are invited to come enjoy the region’s bounty with friends and neighbors as the James Bay Market Society is celebrating the local harvest in your neighborhood on Saturday, September 7th.
A shopping-stroll through the cheerful and festive atmosphere of the James Bay Market can lead to baskets and bags full of fresh-from-the-farm fruits and veggies, meat products, baked goods, and plenty of artisan-made delicacies for an evening treat, the breakfast table or a local feast.
On Harvest Day we will celebrate the harvest with locally grown and prepared foods, special market giveaways, themed children’s activity and our annual corn boil where you can indulge in a buttery ear of farm-fresh Saanich Peninsula grown corn.
To add to the festivities and merriment, there will be a children’s tent with special themed crafts. There will be free potted plants, grown and potted by our James Bay Market Vendor, Gerry Murray for every child to take home (while supplies last).
A good time is guaranteed. See you at the James Bay Community Market on September 7th from 9 am to 3 pm at the Corner of Menzies and Superior. Come out and meet the people who grow and produce the food our communities depend on and enjoy.
