Update on the James Bay Community Market in light of the Covid-19 Pandemic

Update on the James Bay Community Market in light of the Covid-19 Pandemic

This is the latest information of our plans for the 2020 James Bay Community Market Season.

The James Bay Market Society Board wants to assure you, our customers and our vendors, that your health and safety are our top priorities. The COVID-19 pandemic and the measures being taken to reduce transmission of the virus, will mean adjustments and challenges for all of us.

The James Bay Market Society Board is about to begin discussions with our farmers and food producers, VIHA and other interested parties regarding our scheduled opening on May 2. Very strict guidelines have been introduced regarding sales at Farmers Markets who have been declared an essential service. No crafters or artisans other than artisan vendors selling food will be allowed. Numerous other regulations have been instituted to keep you, our customer and our vendors safe.

Our aim is to provide our community with a safe environment and farm fresh food. Please check back for further information that we will be posting as things progress.

Stay well!

The Board of the James Bay Market Society
