James Bay Community Market Vendor Profiles – Freeman’s Baking

James Bay Community Market Vendor Profiles – Freeman’s Baking

Bread, cookies, brownies, lots of sweet treats. Baked with loving care.

Freeman’s baking started when Nathan was 14. He ran the business for a few years to pay his way through post secondary educations. As the business has always been family run the transition to Leslie and Larry being the primary bakers was a natural transition.

Leslie’s love of baking started at a young age when her Granny shared some secret family recipes and inspirations. Raising a large family created many opportunities to perfect these recipes and add new ones. Over the last few years we have expanded our product based on customers feedback and requests.

One of the main things that Leslie’s Granny taught her was that passion and love create great results.

To be able to follow the BC CDC regulations for Farmers Markets we have expanded the James Bay Community Market physically, so we can still provide you with a wide variety of produce from our local farmers, great and tasty locally made foods and wonderful and unique, locally made crafts.

Do come down and take a look this Saturday and every Saturday until October 2nd at the corner of Menzies and Superior in James Bay. Please note our hours – 9 am to 3 pm.
