July is Heating Up with this Line-up Local Musicians
Summer is in full swing and so is our musical line-up! The James Bay Market is bringing the heat with these talented local musicians. Each week, you can shop and groove to 3 musical sets played throughout the day.
Saturdays now see a gathering of 50 plus tents bustling with excited vendors with colourful displays of fresh local fruits, vegetables and farm produce along with baked goods, locally brewed beverages, prepared foods and preserves. Our crafters offer you a large selection of art, woodworking, clothing, body care products, jewellery and more!
Our Music lineup for July may be bringing the heat but don’t worry, you’ll also find shade and cool drinks at the James Bay Market!

Willis Taylor – July 1st from 9:30-11:00am
His music is like if Bob Dylan and Neil Young met the ghosts of Gord Downie and BB king at midnight on a boxcar and decide to trade songs until Dawn. Or folk rock with a bluesy twist if you will.
Aaron and Max Francis – July 1st from 11:15-12:45pm
You’ll be amazed with this father-son duo performing a fantastic array of traditional folk and old-time fiddling tunes to get your toes tapping.
Deb Thomson – July 1st from 1:00-2:30pm
Enjoy the upbeat tunes and nostalgia of your favourite rock-and-roll hits from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. You may even be inspired to dance!
Two Wheeler Band – July 8th from 9:30-11:00am
Enjoy an eclectic mix of acoustic roots music to uplift the soul. From traditional favourites to well-crafted originals, Two Wheeler keeps you singing and moving your feet.
Terry Brennan – July 8th from 11:15-12:45pm
Terry has recently moved to Victoria from Vancouver, and is an urban country folk artist, blending the raw honesty of rock and country with the poetics and intelligence of the folk tradition.
Lonnie Glass – July 8th from 1:00-2:30pm
A master storyteller and modern day troubadour. His quirky guitar style adds to his unique vocals and Cohen-esque lyrical expression.
Nathan Speller – July 15th from 9:30-11:00am
Local singer/songwriter/artist and performer of rock and indie-rock.
Gravitation – July 15th from 11:15-12:45pm
A synergistic blend of talent, experience and joy of music. An acoustic trio grounded in folk, roots and blues with classics and originals.
3 Bits Worth – July 15th from 1:00-2:30pm
An eclectic band playing covers of rock, blues, country, folk and jazz -appealling to all music tastes and age groups.
Bill Holtom- July 22nd from 9:30-11:00am
Also known as Guitar Bill seamlessly switches from covers, standards, and original songs using a loop-effect with his guitar. He crafts melodic and harmonically rich songs that will have you mesmerized.
My Back Pages – July 22nd from 11:15-12:45pm
My Back Pages (formerly: Martini 65) will have you swaying with their swing, bossa nova, pop rock and jazz that made the 60s the iconic era it was.
The Doctor Bones Project – July 22nd from 1:00-2:30pm
Come enjoy some “Blues Fusion”… Blues music infused with gospel, rock and a bit of funk.
The Market Guys – July 29th from 9:30-11:00am
Playing hits from the 50’s to the 70’s.
The Carolina Bluebirds – July 29th from 11:15-12:45pm
The Carolina Bluebirds enjoy sharing their love of cheerful and moving songs from the early- to mid-1900’s, and introducing audiences to rarely-heard gems that were popular in their time.
