James Bay Community Market – Volunteer Positions – 2019

Are you interested in volunteering for the James Bay Community Market?

Each week, at the James Bay Community Market, volunteers provide information to the public about the market, the outlying community, Victoria and Vancouver Island to the many tourists. Moreover volunteers help our Market Manager in assisting vendors, in selling coffee, in the children’s craft tent helping children create crafts.

The Market is such a great place to be on a Saturday in James Bay, that many loyal volunteers return season after season.

The James Bay Community Market is an open air, rain or shine market operating on the corner of Menzies and Superior in James Bay every Saturday in 2019 from May 4th to September 28th, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Volunteers are wonderful people who help make the Market happen.

Because ESL students’ English is limited and the students are often shy, we ask that you provide a supervisor who can communicate with them in their language and in English in order to assist the students in their duties as they interact with the people that attend our market. ESL students find that working at the Children’s Tent is particularly satisfying.
