The James Bay Community Market is celebrating its 25th season starting – May 2nd

Welcome to the start of the 25th season of the James Bay Community Market this Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm at the corner of Menzies and Superior in James Bay.

So excited to see some of our favourite farmers back for our market opening on Saturday at 9 am rain or shine! We are celebrating our 25-year anniversary and what a year it will be! We are so pleased to open our market and support our local growers and food artisans and the James Community.

Saanich Organics will have seeds and vegetable seedlings for us to plant on our patios or in our gardens.

Sun Trio has the best tasting cherry tomatoes ever, red peppers, salad greens all grown in the Peninsula greenhouse. We hear they have a host of new products they have developed over the winter.

Wait till you taste Boughneath Farms frozen organic beef grown right here on the Island.

Farm or Die will have their first of the season salad greens and if we are lucky and their hens lay; they will have some eggs for sale. There is nothing better tasting than a cooked free-range egg fresh from the nest from a Peninsula Farm.

Do not forget to get your fresh harvested mushrooms from Salt Spring Sprouts along with their variety of sprouts all harvested on Salt Spring Island and delivered to the Market Saturday morning.

Glanford Greenhouses have planted lots of fresh veggies and some surprises for us. Come by and say hello to Kim and have a peak at their just harvested produce. All grown close by in Saanich.

We will be taking extra care to make sure you have a safe shopping experience in our outdoor store. We will be monitoring for social distancing and have handwashing stations on site. Sorry only service animals will be allowed in the market due to social distancing rules in 2020.

Just a reminder some vendors accept only cash others only cards best to bring both along.

Hope to see you on Saturday at the Corner of Menzies and Superior and every Saturday until September 26.
